Firefox is the most popular “alternative” web browser, that’s mostly because the most computers on the world use Internet Explorer – default web browser that comes with Windows operating system. Since Internet Explorer is drastically improved for the last two years, for me the best browser is still the Firefox. Of course, it’s completely free to download and use!

Web Developer Toolbar

It’s one of the first Firefox extensions I install on my favorite web browser. Adds a lot of useful functions and information that can be useful for any web developer and designer. I absolutely recommend you to use this extension because it’s a very simple and yet very effective.

MeasureIt

This is another very useful and simple Firefox extensions that I need to have installed on my system. Allows you to measure any element of the page using nice “ruler” effect. Extremely useful if you want to measure something quickly on your (or any other) sites just from your web browser.

Image Hosting

FireFTP

Of course, webmaster and web developer work would be nothing without the File Transfer Protocol, popularly called FTP. This cute little extension actually provide you the basic-featured FTP client where you can upload and edit files on your website or a blog. One of the most quality extensions for sure.

Image Hosting

HTML Validator

HTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon in the status bar when browsing. The details of the errors are seen when looking the HTML source of the page. Extremely useful to find errors in your site source code.

Image Hosting

Http Fox

This extension monitors and analyzes all incoming and outgoing HTTP traffic between the web browser and web servers. Allowing you to find out many useful information about specific requests, responses of your site header, sent or received cookies, post parameters and much much more.

Great mini post. Always a good reminder about the must have add-ons. Oh, btw, believe it or not Web Developer Toolbar already has a measuring ruler (Misc->Display Ruler), so no need to install MeasureIt.

Addons are the big power of Firefox. But they made them heavy to load. One should have to compromise on this thing if he want to use a lot of addons.
